What We Are Trying To Do
BoLT is an inclusive, interactive publication designed to give a voice to all women within our LGBTQ community and to those people that have ever experienced life as a woman. BoLT Magazine is produced on an entirely voluntary basis, with articles, features and artwork contributed by the community. Share your articles, life stories, poetry, thoughts, artwork and anything else with us!
The magazine is distributed as widely as we can currently (as of April 2011) manage, which means we get most issues to Cork, Galway, Dublin and Waterford. For now BoLT is free, if picked up at a Distribution Location, but ideally we would like readers to become subscribers. We currently have subscribers and contributers throughout Ireland and a couple as far away as the US and Asia! We are really keen on getting more people involved from throughout the island of Ireland, and also people living elsewhere with connections to Ireland as developed in the What You Can Do section. Whether you are able to pick up some copies and distribute them somewhere in your locality, get involved in production, run a fundraiser, contribute material or have ideas for some or all of these areas, do get in touch. A lot of our production meetings are held on Skype so you don't have to be based in Dublin if you want to take on a major role in BoLT – just submit your proposals to info@boltmagazine.ie.
