What You Can Do

Contribute New Content

Written submissions can be news items, commentary, opinion pieces, life stories, poetry, book/film/music reviews and interviews. Written submissions should be no longer than 1500 words. For written submissions, please contact us at editor@boltmagazine.ie and keep an eye on our sign up to our Call For Submissions.

Art submissions can be photographs, illustrations or paintings. For further information and to submit, please contact artdirector@boltmagazine.ie.

Extend Our Distribution

Our existing Distribution Locations reflect our contact and support network. We are trying to reach as wide an audience as possible throughout the island of Ireland. If you can help with this please contact info@boltmagazine.ie. Can you suggest appropriate new locations – community, educational or social centres, friendly newsagents etc.? We will arrange for the copies to be delivered or picked up as best suits.

Improve Our Finances

Funding the print runs is our biggest headache and is a constant challenge to continued production of the magazine. We have survived to date on the support of our subscribers and on generous contributions from well-wishers and from sister organisations in our wonderful LGBTQ community. Contributions have been direct donations or have been collected through fundraising activities organised by some of these subscribers, well-wishers and sister organisations. If you like what we are trying to do, please think whether you can help in this effort.

The simplest step is for our readers to become Subscribers and to pass on a copy to any of your contacts you think may enjoy it and also wish to subscribe. The subscription is modest – only designed to cover printing and postage – but ensures your copy arrives, hot off the press, direct to your address in a plain envelope and saves you the trek into one of our Distribution Locations.
